I stamped the background on blue paper, It's a bit uneven in some places, but I rather like the distressed look. I used the Love die from the Hero Arts August 2021 MMH kit, cutting each letter 3 times so I could stack them before adhering them to the argyle panel. The "you" is from the stamp set in the kit and it's embossed and then cut out and glued to the panel. I added some hearts from my stash before adhering the panel to my card base. Finally, I used a Wink of Stella pen to add sparkle to the hearts and the Love sentiment.

Anniversary Card
Today I'm displaying the card I made my husband for our 42nd wedding anniversary. Of course, it's clean and simple - you know me. I especially love the sentiment.
I used an embossing folder for the trees - I'm not sure of the name. I inked the image and kraft card base with CTMH chocolate ink. The sentiment is Hero Arts using white embossing powder. The die cut hearts have a coating of clear WOS.
I'm entering some challenges: Brown Sugar Challenge #121 - Use Two or More Colors; Crafting When we Can #83 - Clean & Simple; Fan-Tastic Tuesday #63 - Anything Goes Option Add a Tree or Trees; and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.
I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!!

Using My Schtuff
Darnell of djkardkreations has another NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff) challenge on her blog. Since I have tons of NBUS, I am compelled to enter. I used some blog candy that I won from the talented and generous Mary of Carolina Cards by Mary H - thanks again, Mary!
The card is for a line dancing friend who is not feeling well. Our group will send it to her. I used the sketch #19 from Stamplorations so I'm entering that challenge also.

Here's my card using this NBUS: Memory Box Border Trellis die and the carnation stamp from Hero Arts Blossom Etchings stamp set. The background paper is from CTMH and I've had it for probably a couple of years.
Non NBUS items: I inked the blossom with Hero Arts Orange Soda Shadow Ink; I used my Peeled Paint Distress Marker for the stem. The bow is a Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment is inked with CTMH Chocolate. All cardstock is from my stash.
I'm also entering the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Rubber or Clear Stamps - No Digis. I hope you have a happy day crafting!

Modeling Paste Card
Today's card marks something totally new for me. I have been seeing beautiful cards made with different brands of embossing paste and stencils. I finally got some modeling paste from Michael's - made by Artist Loft (Michael's house brand). I decided to give it a try because it's a lot less expensive than the other brands around. It comes in a tube rather than a jar. Also, it's off white rather than white. But I decided to give it a try anyway.
I was really happy with the results. I didn't get it totally even, but I think that adds to the charm. I layered two die cut flowers and added some hand cut leaves. I popped a sequin onto the flower and a placed a bit of glitter glue in the sequin's center. Then I stamped and heat embossed the Hero Arts sentiment on vellum - stamping on vellum is also new for me. I will come back later and enter some challenges.
Edited to enter these challenges: Stamplorations August Challenge - Stamps/Die Cuts; PDE Linky Party #17 - Metal Dies or Punches; and The Cutting Edge #8 - I was inspired by the white background and flowers on Kay's card.

CAS at Jackson's Digital Expressions
Happy Tuesday! We have the CAS Team on display today at JDE using Robert's images and images from our sponsor, Bugaboo. Be sure to visit the site to see what the DT has made. You will love what you see! My first card uses Robert's Back to School image. I'll send this to my grandson!
Supplies: Cardstock: Marcos Paper; die cut: gift from a friend; Stamp: Hero Arts Anytime Messages; Ink: CTMH Black Dye Ink; Sharpies
I also made this card using Bugaboo's Stick Horse image - he's so cute!
Supplies: Cardstock: Marcos Paper; DP: CTMH, Recollections; Stamps: CTMH Celebrate the Everyday; Buttons: My stash; Sharpies.
I always smile when I read about how some folks struggle with making a Clean and Simple card - that's all I ever make. Not that mine are great examples of the CAS style - I simply don't know how to make any other kind!!
I will enter my cards in a few challenges as soon as I have time. Enjoy your day!

JDE's JULY RELEASE PARTY and CAS ANYTHING GOES
I've got lots of news regarding Jackson's Digital Expressions in July: Robert has created 6 new images for the Design Team - you could win all 6. The site will have "Featured" Designers and the Design Challenge IS ALL MONTH LONG. Additionally, there's a Mini Blog Hop July 6-8. There will be weekly prize drawings and surprises throughout the month, plus a Bonus Mystery Prize for someone. Finally, we have fabulous new sponsors and new Design Team members. You will want to join in and have a great time with us.
This week's Challenge from the CAS team is Anything Goes with a twist - A Rose by Any Other Name. We would love it if you put a flower or flowers on your card, but not a rose. My card uses a particular favorite image of mine called Doing the Wobble. I absolutely love to line dance. In fact, I line dance at least 3 times a week and usually more. I take classes, belong to a line dance club, and attend work shops and jamborees regularly. I am one dancing sista, believe me! So I had to have this image. The Wobble is an old line dance, but it is immensely popular - folks of all ages dance it everywhere. I love this image and this card! It makes me want to dance!! If you don't Wobble, learn it - you'll have big fun!
Supplies: Cardstock: my stask; Stamps: Hero Arts Cling-Musical Clef, Recollections, CTMH Atomic Lower Case; Copics; Sharpies; Bic Mark-Its; Sankura White Jelly Roll Pen; Ink: CTMH Blush, Memento Grape Jelly; Flowers: CTMH White Daisy Just Blooms.
I entered my card in some challenges: Make It Monday (Anything Goes), The Crafty Bloggers Network (Anything Goes), Mema's Crafts (Anything Goes), and Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenges (Anything Goes). Create a project and link it up at JDE. You don't want to miss out on a good time and some great prizes!
