Last Valentine

It's the day before Valentine's Day. I hope everyone has made their cards and mailed them. Mine went out last week.  This one was made for our grandniece.  Hopefully, she'll receive it on time and will like it.

I colored this image for Kathy R's 30 Day Coloring Challenge at The Daily Marker.  I actually colored all 30 days, but I will say I mostly colored small images.  I've kinda grown to like coloring, but it's still not easy for me.  So I tend to work with small and simple images. But at least I am no longer embarrassed by my coloring. I know the basics of shading and blending, and as long as I keep it simple, I do okay.  But please believe me - I've come a long way - LOL!!

613 Avenue Create #206 - Anything Goes - Option Love

Hello, my Crafty Friends!  613 Avenue Create starts off February with the option of Love on our Anything Goes Challenge.  Since Valentine's Day is this month, we know a number of you already have love on your minds.  We're anxious to see what you all create so please join in.  Here's my card.  I actually made a number of these for my church ministry to give to our adopted seniors.

I used a Cricut cartridge to cut the heart "flowers."  I stamped the background and sentiment, adding some gold thread behind the die cut sentiment.

It's 2018!

This is my first post of 2018.  Life just got in the way of my posting until now, so I'm wishing everyone a belated Happy New Year.  We are having bouts of extreme cold here in the South as are other regions.  Just keeping warm has practically turned into a job.  But at least today the sun is out and temperatures are reasonable for our area.  We'll see what happens tomorrow.

If you haven't already seen it, my blog buddy Darnell has put together an amazing team for a new blog challenge:  Twofer Card Challenge.  The concept is to create two separate cards using the same stamps or dies.  It's a lesson in stretching your supplies and adding to your stash all at the same time. I decided to join in and here's what I came up with:

 

I created a Valentine card and an anniversary card, which puts me ahead of the game since Valentine's Day is next month and our anniversary is in October.  I heat embossed the Valentine and stamped the anniversary card.
