Three Room Studio Saturday Challenge #76-Use a Punch or a Die

Hello, Friends!  Today we have a new challenge at the Three Room Studio Blog - Use a Punch or a Die.  For this challenge, I went old school and brought out a Fiskars Edge Punch - remember those?  I never purged my punches so I have quite a few in my stash.  They are fun to play with once in a while.  Here's my card:

For today's challenge I used the Lady's Slipper digital image.  I colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers. I cut out the Lady's Slipper, adhering it to a die cut shape.  I used a border punch by Fiskars to punch the edges of two colors of card stock, a light pink and a darker pink.  Using the TRS Rounded Checkerboard Stencil and Distress Oxide, I created a background on the darker pink paper.  Then I glued down the two pink papers to the card base after cutting them down to fit.  I adhered the Lady's Slipper die cut to the card, stamped the sentiment from the Simple Sentiments set and added some sequins from my stash.

Now, check out my fellow Design Team members...

  2. I never got rid of my punches either Sheila, love them too much even though I don't use them too much. lol Your card came out beautiful! I've not seen that punch, but I'm sure there are many I've not seen. It is a cool one. Looks so pretty on your card. Your image you color is just beautifully colored as always. Love the colors on this one. Hugs, Brenda
