Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog #324-Ribbons & Bows

I'm a bit late with this post, but this week's challenge at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog is Ribbons and Bows.  I completed my project two weeks ago, but somehow neglected to post it. What can I say???  Please forgive me and just enjoy the challenge.

Challenge #324-Ribbons and Bows
Make a project using ribbons, bows, or twine. But there has to be a least one cut from the Cricut Library!

And the prize is-

A $10 coupon code for anything in the store!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

My project is a treat box.  I used double-sided paper and used the Fit to Page feature on my Cricut Expression. The cartridge is Art Philosophy.  I added ribbon to the bottom and tied a bow at the top to hold it together.  It's rather cute, don't you think?

613 Avenue Create #208-Anything Goes-Option ATG/Vellum

Happy Easter!  It's the first day of April and we have a new challenge at 613 Avenue Create.  Our Anything Goes has the option of using vellum on your project.  Be sure to click over to the blog to see what the DT has made and who won the last challenge.  Maybe it was you!

I decided to use vellum on a sympathy card.  We all know sympathy cards can be very hard to make for a multitude of reasons.  I usually make them on an as needed basis.  However, I finally decided to make a few in advance. This one was made using a die that I borrowed from a friend when we were crafting together.

The background is sponged with a stencil.  Then I cut it using a rectangle die.  I die cut that beautiful dove against the window. The hearts are dies also.   I really like the soft look.  Stamping on the vellum was not easy, but I like the look of it also.

Do you make sympathy cards for your stash or on an as needed basis?

Card stock:  Recollections 110 lb. and 60 lb.
Vellum:  The Paper Studio
Dies:  Unknown (borrowed)
Stamp:  Close to My Heart
Ink:  Memento Grape Jelly
