Little Boy Birthday

Today my husband and I went to a birthday party for our little neighbor.  He's the youngest of three boys.  I made this card for him:

Everything is from my stash.  The numbers and sentiment are from CTMH.  It's difficult to see in the picture, but the "2" has sparkle from a glitter pen.  I used Nestabilities oval dies and lightly stippled CTMH Dutch Blue ink on the die cuts and sentiment.

I'm entering these challenges:  Frosted Designs - Numbers; Dream Valley Challenges - For a Child; and Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes.

Happy Sunday!  It's September 1 - summer is almost over.  Where did the time go??  It's time for our new challenge at 613 Avenue Create.  Our optional twist is Spotlighting, a technique I've never used before.  But I must say I had fun with it.  The site has a link to a tutorial if you're not familiar with spotlighting. As always, my card is CAS.  I used CTMH Flourished Blessings for my leaves and sentiment.  The inks are CTMH also, Sunset and Honey. The cardstock is from my stash as are the sequins.  I added Liquid Pearls to the center of the sequins.

I'm entering my card in these challenges:  Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes; Simon Says Stamp Blog - Anything Goes; Pumpkin Spice - Anything Goes; My Sheri Crafts - Fall Colors; and Robyn's Fetish Challenge Blog - Add Some Leaves.

613 Avenue Create Challenge #33

Hi, there!  Today our Anything Goes Challenge at 613 Avenue Create has the optional twist of Stitching - Real or Faux.  Our sponsors are Beansie Doodles and Rick St. Dennis. My card has faux stitching.  I used Beansie Doodles Frog Prince image.

I printed the frog image on DP and cut it out.  Then I printed it on white paper and cut out the crown, coloring it with a Marvy gold pen.  The card stock and DP are from my stash. I rested the frog on a strip of Washi tape.  I added bling to his crown and put a rhinestone heart over the heart that is a part of the image.  I added the stitching and some small sticker flowers. The sentiment is CTMH.  Isn't he a cute frog?

Be sure to visit 613 Avenue Create for last weeks winners and inspiration from the DT.  Thanks for stopping by, and have a good day!

A Difficult Card - Sympathy

This is my second post for the day.  (I've never done two posts in one day before, so I hope what I've done is ok.)  To see my Sympathy card, please scroll down.

This card is for a new challenge that ends tomorrow so I've got to get it posted quickly.  I'm entering ABC Challenges SIP Challenge (Stamps, Ink and Paper).  I made this for my neighbors' anniversary.

The CS, DP, ribbon and pearls are all from my stash.  The stamp and sentiment are CTMH.

Hi, there.  Today I have a sympathy card which I made for a friend.  We all know how difficult it can be to make sympathy cards.  I always struggle when making one.

The stamp is CTMH, the ink is Memento.  I used a Sizzix embossing folder and and the sentiment is a $1 wooden stamp from Michaels.  Cardstock is from my stash.

I'm entering this in the challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks - 155 (Sympathy) and Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes.
