So how are you today? I'm feeling fine, happy to be well and happy that it's another sun shiny day. Today I'm posting a card I made using a retired Close to My Heart set that I have had for years. Solid images were so hard for me to stamp pre-MISTI (which is probably why I hadn't used this set before).
Challenges:
Simon Says Monday Challenge - Stamp It
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Stamp It
Just Us Girls #360 - Use Sequins
Brown Sugar Challenge #215 - Anything Goes
Image: Close to My Heart (retired)
Sentiment: Close to My Heart (retired)
Ink: Close to My Heart
Dies: Scalloped Nestabilities
Papers: My Stash
Accessories: My Stash
I like this CAS card. It's going to our grandniece - my sweet baby girl who is almost 16!
Thanks for visiting!

613 Avenue Create #157-Anything Goes-Option CAS
Happy New Year, Crafty Friends!! I can hardly believe that it is now 2016. I don't really make resolutions, but I do try to change some things for the better in the new year. I want to blog more regularly in 2016. I hope to try new techniques and card styles. I want to enter challenges again. We'll see how it goes - LOL!!
This week at 613 Avenue Create our Anything Goes challenge has the option to create a CAS card or project. That's nothing new, because all I ever do unless challenged to do otherwise, is create CAS projects. Anything else is extremely difficult for me. Here's my card using just one pre-colored image from Melonheadz Illustrations Stand Ye in Holy Places. (Eureka Stamps is a sponsor also.) I made this card for one of my line dance teachers who is retiring in March. She loves cowboy boots. It's safe to show the card now because she doesn't know anything about my blog.
All papers are from my stash. I created my own DP by painting white Recollections cardstock with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink. I love the ombre look that I created. (Actually, at first I tried sponging the ink onto the cardstock, but it looked terrible so I decided to use the ink as paint on my craft sheet.) I used an embossing folder to put dots on the circle which I cut with a Nestie. The boots are fussy cut and popped up. I used a Sizzix die (Jutebox) to cut the music notes. (BTW, both dies are new - never been used before.) The sentiment (also popped up) is Close to My Heart - I used a scrap of the paper I made when I sponged the ink. It's hard to see, but the star on the boot has a touch of clear Wink of Stella.
I will be back to enter some challenges: 4 Crafty Chicks-Anything Goes; Crafty Friends #22 - Use Something New; and Scrapper's Delight #51- Anything Goes.
Be sure to check out the DT's inspiration on the site. And you'll definitely want to see who won the last challenge. Happy Crafting!

613 Avenue Create #137-Anything Goes-No Twist
Good day, friends! Our latest challenge at 613 Avenue Create has no twist along with our Anything Goes theme. So get crafting and make and share anything you like. The DT has some great inspiration from our sponsors the All Dressed Up store and the Faery Ink Designs store. Here's my card using Faery Ink's Snow Love Couple:
I used Spectrum Noir markers. Everything else is from my stash. I added a bit of sparkle to the image with my clear Wink of Stella - how I love that! The blue background paper already sparkles. The dies surrounding the cute snow couple are new to me from Spellbinders Nestabilities - Exquisite Circles. I got them at Tuesday Morning months ago at a greatly reduced price. The sentiment die is also new from Elizabeth Craft Designs.
We hope to see your project soon. Have a wonderful day!

613 Avenue Create #119-Anything Goes-Option: Create Your Own Challenge
Hi, Crafty Friends! We have a different Create Your Own Challenge Twist to our Anything Goes Challenge this week. Just use this chart:
Our sponsors this week are Melonheadz Illustrations, Scrapper's Delights and Di's Digi Stamps. I used an image from Melonheadz Polly Put the Kettle On Combo Pack. This is a delightful tea inspired digi set. I'll be using the other images for sure since I have a thing for tea - LOL!
I made a square card for encouragement (event). My trends are Watercolor, Stencils and Sequins. Using a stencil and water color paper, I sponged distress ink over the stencil. Then I lightly sprayed water through the stencil. I blotted the paper with a paper towel before removing the stencil, after which I used a heat tool to dry the paper. I cut it down to fit my 5x5 card front. The image is colored with Spectrum Noirs and cut with a scalloped oval Nestie die. I inked the edges of the die before popping it up on the card front. The sentiment (also popped up) is from the $1 bin at Michaels - I've had it for years. The sequins are from my stash.
I'm entering these challenges: Brown Sugar Challenge #141 - Distress; Sister Act Challenge #101 - Anything Goes; and CCEE Stampers 1515 - Stencils.
I hope you find some time to craft today :)

613 Avenue Create #110-Anything Goes-Option Color Bingo
Hi, there! Today we've got a new variation on our Create Your Own Challenge theme - Color Bingo! Here's the chart to use:
Our sponsors are Aliciabel.com and Inky Impressions. I've used Inky Impressions Warm Hello Circle and the first line across on our chart - blue, yellow and green.
It doesn't show well in the photo, but background is dusted with green chalk The hand cut banner in the right corner is green also. I colored the flower with my Spectrum Noirs and cut it out with a Nestie. It's mounted on a piece of DP cut with a stitched rectangle die from Fawn Lawn. The Washi and all papers are from my stash.
I'm entering a few challenges: CAS On a Sunday #51 - Flowers; Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - All Things Bright and Beautiful; and Brown Sugar Challenge #132- Anything Goes.
Have a great day!

613 Avenue Create #73-Anything Goes/Option Add Metal
Good morning! It's a beautiful day here in Georgia, and I'm happy that the sun is out. I'm looking forward to a happy day. You can get some happy by visiting 613 Avenue Create. Our newest Anything Goes Challenge has the fun option of adding metal. Our sponsors are Lacy Sunshine and Creative Bug. I used a pre-colored digi from Creative, Cuddle Buns Gets Squished.
Aren't the bunnies adorable? I cut the image using a Nesties and added blue ink and green ink around the top and bottom before removing the cut from the Nestie. The yellow polka dot background was created by inking through a Heidi Swapp stencil. The ink is dark in some areas and light in others. I like that effect. The three hearts are popped up as is the main image. The bunnies' noses, ears and feet have a bit of sparkle thanks to my clear Wink of Stella pen. I added three metal brads around the die. I will add a sentiment later when I decide who will receive my card.
I'm entering a few challenges: Less Is More #173 - Use a Die Cut; Brown Sugar Challenge #95-Anything Goes; Die Cut Diva's Challenge Blog (May)-Use at Least One Embellishment (and a Die Cut or Embossing Folder), and Creative Bug on the Loose #2 - Anything Goes.
I hope you have a wonderful day!

613 Avenue Create #69 - Anything Goes. Period!!
Hi, there, friends! Our challenge at 613 Avenue Create this week is Anything Goes with no twist - how's that for a change? Our sponsors are A Day for Daisies and Bugaboo Digi Stamps. I used ADFD Freehand Butterfly #1 - here's my card:
I put the design on my butterfly by using a stencil- how cool is that! I used a Heidi Swapp flower stencil, sponging Distress Ink for the pattern, and dusting the butterfly with chalk. The DPs are scraps. I mounted the fussy cut butterfly on Nesties. I don't know who made the border punch that I used. It's hard to see, but I added a bit of sparkle with Wink of Stella and a couple of sequins. I'll add a sentiment when I decide what occasion I'll use the card for.
I'm entering these challenges: Crafting from the Heart #16-Anything Goes; Pixie's Snippets Playground #122; Crafty Cardmakers and More #115-It's a Bug's Life; Butterfly Challenge #6-Glamorous; and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Clean and Simple.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

613 Avenue Create-Option Reuse/Recycle Something
Top of the morning, all! Our challenge this week at 613 Avenue Create is Anything Goes with the option to Reuse or Recycle Something in honor of Earth Day on April 22. If you're like me, when you spy something that would look good on a card, you tuck it away to use later. So this option is a piece of cake for most of us, right?! Our sponsors are Jellypark and Fred She Said. I used one of Fred She Said's Uplifting Sentiments as the focus of my card.
The DP is a snippet from Close to my Heart. The doily came from a restaurant somewhere. (Whenever I see a doily at a restaurant, I quickly stick it in my purse before it gets soiled from food.) I also reused the leaf. It's from a tea bag! I have a collection of these leaves since I love tea. I made the flower, using a small scalloped circle, layering it with a flower from my stash, and adding a sequin. I dusted the doily and the die cut sentiment with chalk.
I'm entering these challenges: Word Art Wednesday #127 - Anything Goes; Get Inky Challenge - Hop into Spring; Sister Act Card Challenge #52 - Anything Goes.
Get inky and join our challenge. And don't forget to see who won last week.

My Husband's Birthday
Hi, Ya'll. Today I'm showing the card I made for my husband's birthday. Of course, it's totally CAS.
The color did not photograph well in spite of my best efforts. The CTMH car is stamped in Brilliance Starlite Silver. I used a Nestabilities die and dusted it with grey ink before removing the cut. The car has Glossy Accents on the lights, windshield and windows. I used white gel pen on the sides. The balloon and dots (I used a hole punch) also have a coating of Glossy Accents. I punched a hole to have the balloon floating above the card. The sentiment is CTMH. The background DP is Bo Bunny Double Dot Designs. The red DP is a snippet from my stash.
I'm entering these challenges: Addicted to CAS #35 - Wheels; Mema's Crafts - April Anything Goes; Addicted to Stamps and More #89 - CAS.

613 Avenue Create-Anything Goes-Option Use Your Stash
Good morning, Crafty Friends! Today's challenge at 613 Avenue Create has the option of Use Your Stash. Our sponsor is Rick St. Dennis. I've used the Daffodil Single Image digi. I have need for lots of birthday cards in the upcoming months, so I made a birthday card.
I colored the digi using colored pencils and gamsol. I'm getting to like this. I die cut the image uncolored, dusting the cut with chalk before removing the image from the die. Then I colored another copy of the image, fussy cut it, glued down the stem and popped up the flower. The die cut is popped up also. I distressed the edges of the flower, the die, the DP and the card with ink. The ribbon (American Crafts) looks a lot lighter than the flower in this picture, but they actually match nicely. The daffodil has a light coating of clear Wink of Stella, and I added some rhinestones from Recollections. The sentiment and DP are CTMH. The cardstock is K & Company. Absolutely everything is from my stash!!
I'm entering these challenges: Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge - always Anything Goes but must cover your card blank with patterned paper; The Card Concept - Floral (my style is Clean and Layered); Natalie and Amy's Challenge #18 - Flowers.

A Halloween Card
Happy Fall, Y'All! Today I'm posting a Halloween card for my grandniece. She's almost a teen (her birthday is next month). She still loves Halloween treats, so I made a card highlighting my favorite Halloween treat - candy corn. (My husband and I have already eaten two bags, so I'm not buying any more - LOL!)
I had fun putting the candy corn in the jar. I even did a bit of masking at the bottom of the jar - go, me! I think purple, black and orange are great Halloween colors. Cardstock: my stash; Stamps: CTMH Joyful Jar and Remarkable Wreath; Ink: CTMH Black. I colored the candy corn with Sharpies and added American Crafts Baker's Twine.
I'm entering these challenges: Simons Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge - Halloween or Halloween Colors, and Happy Campers Challenge - Halloween.

613 Avenue Create #41 - Anything Goes/Option Pile It On
Today's challenge at 613 Avenue Create has the option of Pile It On. This doesn't come easy to me. I'm a CAS crafter through and through. I colored the cute Tilly the Dinosaur from Lacy Sunshine with Distress Inks and Distress Markers, then used a Nestabilities die to cut it out. I added a cloud brad, two types of Washi tape, two buttons with thread and a sentiment. That's a lot for me to put on a card :)
Everything is from my stash. I'm having fun using what I have. I've entered these challenges: Brown Sugar Challenge Blog: Anything Goes; Totally Papercrafts: 1 image, 2 papers, 3 embellishments.
I hope you have a great day!

Little Boy Birthday
Today my husband and I went to a birthday party for our little neighbor. He's the youngest of three boys. I made this card for him:
Everything is from my stash. The numbers and sentiment are from CTMH. It's difficult to see in the picture, but the "2" has sparkle from a glitter pen. I used Nestabilities oval dies and lightly stippled CTMH Dutch Blue ink on the die cuts and sentiment.
I'm entering these challenges: Frosted Designs - Numbers; Dream Valley Challenges - For a Child; and Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes.

613 Avenue Create Challenge #21 - Anything Goes
Good Morning! We're having a challenge with no twists - just make whatever your heart desires and enter it - isn't that cool?! Our sponsor is Meljen's Designs. Here's my inspiration for you:
I used Meljen's sweet Birthday Cupcake image. I used card stock from my stash, and colored the image with Sharpies and colored pencils. I dusted the Nesties Scalloped Oval cut with lavender chalk, although it is hard to see. I added sparkle with a Gelly Roll Stardust pen (also hard to see). The bling is from Studio G, the sentiment is Fiskars, and the ink is Memento.
My inspiration for using this image is my friend Barb who is a first rate crafter. Here's a link to her blog The Buzz, featuring her use of this image. Barb's coloring skills are boundless and so is her creativity. She is on the Meljen's design team. I follow her blog and had to give her a shout :)
Hop over and visit 613 Avenue Create - the DT has some lovely inspiration for you. We'd love to have you enter the new challenge. And don't forget - you'll find out last week's winners. Have a great day and a Happy Memorial Day weekend if you're in the U.S.
I'm entering these challenges: Crazy 4 Challenges - no commercially made patterned paper; Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes; and Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog, Anything Goes - must have hand coloured image.

Sketch Time & Birthday Celebration at JDE
Today we have another Anything Goes Challenge with an optional Sketch twist at Jackson's Digital Expressions. We have two sponsors this week, The Cutting Cafe and Bugaboo Stamps. Check JDE to see the DT's inspiration and find out our winners from last week. Here's the optional sketch:
Supplies: Image: RJ's Just Purses 2; Cardstock & DP, my stash; Ink: CTMH Tulip; Nestabilities Oval Die; Stamp: CTMH Birthday Script.
Then I made another card - this one to celebrate Robert's Birthday - August 29. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ROBERT!!! Robert shares his birthday with a twin sister Kezia. To celebrate, there will be Surprise Gifts throughout the week. And, if you want a Big Shot, go to the JDE site and leave a comment which includes the phrase "I am an Expressions Big Shot." Your name will be entered into a special drawing!!
I entered this card in the Whoopsiedaisy Challenge. I used the same sketch, but changed it up a bit. My image is from the It's About That Time Printable Stamp Set at The Cutting Cafe. I think the clock is a nice masculine touch in this case. It doesn't really show in the picture, but I brushed all the cut edges and cardstock with distress ink. I hope Robert likes it! And Happy Birthday to Kezia, too!!
Be sure to join the celebration at JDE!!!
Supplies: Cardstock & DP: My stash; dies: CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge; Ink: Tea Dye Distress Ink; Stamp: CTMH Celebrate the Everyday (promotional stamp set); Bic Mark-Its.
My first card is a Robert Jackson image: Just Purses 2. I entered into the challenge at Make it Monday.
