My Sister's Birthday

I am so behind in cards for my family with November birthdays.  My older sister's birthday was the first week of November, and I just got her card made.  I have 3 others to make and mail with gifts. I'm usually very timely, but so much was going on last month that I just got behind. I'm showing it here before I mail it because she doesn't look at my blog.  Here it is:

I used Stamploration's Vignette It's Your Day stamp and colored the cake with Spectrum Noir markers. I think the wonky cake is fun. I managed a bit of shading - still working on my technique.  I cut the image with a Spellbinders die and dusted it with both yellow and brown chalk before removing it from the die.  I matted it and added a border from a Martha Stewart punch to one side of the matting.  The happy birthday is a Cricut cut gifted to me by a friend. I added some bling and a burgundy ribbon to match the sentiment. The white frosting has some glitter added with WOS and a Stardust Jelly Roll pen.

I actually won this stamp set and 5 others in July at Stamplorations Birthday Blog Hop. I will be using the other stamps soon - they are great.

I'm entering these challenges:  Less is More - Celebrations; Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes; Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge - December;  Seize the Birthday - Option Leaves; and Stamplorations Anything Goes Challenge.

613 Avenue Create #47 - Anything Goes - Option Create Your Own Challenge

Our new challenge at 613 Avenue Create is a fun one - Create Your Own Challenge using this chart:

Our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps.  I used the cute Christmas Cupcake - Presents.  Here's my card:  I used Image, Paper Punch, Stickles (& Liquid Pearls), Sequins and Ribbon

I did quite a bit of paper piecing on this card. The cupcake wrapper and the frosting are paper pieced as are the two red bows on the green frosting and the red gift on the right side.  The ribbon on the cupcake wrapper has Christmas Red Stickles as do the bows on the frosting.  The sequins have Liquid Pearls in the centers.  I used a Fiskars Corner Punch for the decorative corners.  It's hard to see, but I also used a Jelly Roll pen to ad a bit of sparkle to the frosting and the ribbons on the presents on the cupcake.  The sentiment is from CTMH.

I'm entering these challenges:  Challenges 4 Everybody #34 - Anything Goes; Dream Valley Challenges #70 - CAS; and Brown Sugar Challenge #69 - Anything Goes.

We want to see what you make so come on over.  You can win 7 free digis from Bugaboo - how cool is that?!

Anything Goes at 613 Avenue Create

Happy Sunday!  Today our challenge at 613 Avenue Create is Anything Goes with a Tic Tac Toe option.  We are pleased to have a new sponsor, Rick St. Dennis.

I decided to get a jump on Christmas cards so I used Rick's I've Been Good Image.  I chose to go straight across the middle of the Tic Tac Toe board:  Sticklers/Glitter, Digital Image and Green. Everything is from my stash.

This cute image reminds me of when my little sister and I would leave a treat for Santa. Visit 613 Avenue Create to get some inspiration from our guest designers and the DT. The ladies have made some wonderful projects.  You'll enjoy seeing them and, hopefully, have even more fun creating your own project to enter into the challenge.

I'm entering these challenges:  Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenge - Anything Goes, Christmas Cards All Year 'Round - Sparkle & Bling and Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes.
