Lighthouse Birthday Card

Wow for me - two posts in two days!  Today I'm displaying a card for our neighbor, my husband's golf buddy.

The image is from Our Daily Bread - I've used it before. I colored the image with Distress Markers. Actually, this is the first time I've successfully colored with them. I've tried and tried before, but was never happy with the result. But this time, something clicked. I cut the image with an oval Nestie and added some Washi on the side. The sentiment is CTMH.

I'm entering the following challenges:  Addicted to CAS #58 - Code Distress; Seize the Birthday  - Masculine; and A Gem of A Challenge #139 - Clean and Simple.

I'm happy to be posting again :)

  1. Excellent coloring with the markers, Sheila! This is such a great image for a guy card! I really love the heart card you made for your hubby, too!! I'm glad to hear that things are settling for you! Hugs, Darnell

  2. This is a gorgeous card Sheila! I love your coloring with the distress markers-looks amazing. This is a great masculine card my friend. Hugs, Brenda

  3. Fabulous coloring and a great image for a guy card. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Seize the Birthday.

  4. Great for a male card. Thanks for playing along with our "Distress" challenge at ATCAS, Rebecca x

  5. Sheila, you are amazing! This is just lovely (I really like the ODBD image a lot). I'm in the same boat with the DI & watercoloring them. I can't get a nice result at all, but you certainly did with this one. Very pretty. And I like the way you've got that bold stripe border to the side. A real winner! Good for you at keeping on with the technique and being successful with it too. TFS & Hugs.

  6. Love this beautiful image and great job with your colouring! Thanks for playing along at ATCAS.

  7. This is gorgeous, I love the image and beautiful colouring.
Thank you for taking part in a Gem of a Challenge.
