Die Cut Christmas Tree

Wow, I just realized that I need to post some more of the Christmas cards that I made.  I used a friend's die to cut this beautiful and lacy tree.  I used sticky dots to adhere it to a glitter paper background. The DP is from my stash.  I didn't think it needed a sentiment on the outside.  It was quick and easy, and I love it.

I'm entering these challenges:  Mema's Crafts - Winter or Christmas or Holiday; Less is More - Week 151 - Choose a Previous Challenge as Your Theme - I used Week #146 - Use Designer Paper in a CAS Way; and Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge #156 - Last Minute Cards or Any Not Shown Already.

I hope you have a great weekend!

A Christmas Card

This is the first year I handmade every Christmas card that we mailed.  Last year I used the last of my store bought cards.  I had been mailing and/or handing out some hand made and some store bought (left over from before I started card making).  We don't have a large Christmas card list - only about 30-40, so it wasn't as if I had to make hundreds of cards.  I officially got started in October, although I had made a few for challenges earlier.  Anyhooo, here's one:

Everything is from my stash.  The stamp, sentiment and ink are CTMH.  The DP and card stock were actually scraps.  The card base is Recollections.

I'm entering these challenges:  Aud Sentiments Challeng Blog #96 - Christmas; Milk Coffee Challenge - Any Christmas Creation; and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Stamp It Out.

One of my dance groups is performing at a nursing home this afternoon.  And this evening I'm performing with another group at Global Winter Wonderland at Turner Field in Atlanta.  So I'm off to get my costumes together.  Happy Crafting to you!

A Christmas Tag

I made 10 tags like this to put on small gifts for the ladies in my card making group which meets weekly. The gift exchange will take place tomorrow.  I used my CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cart. The cardstock and DP are retired  from CTMH (over a year old!). I used Stickles on the tree and Liquid Pearls for the snow.  I put the names on the back with Post It tape so the ladies could remove it and then use the tag themselves on a gift.

Here's what the tags look like on the packages:

I bought little cello bags from Joann's.  Each contains 2 rolls of Washi tape wrapped in white tissue.  I hope the ladies like them :)

Golden Deer

This is my second post for today. I've made this 5 x 5 card for our class to present to our line dance teacher along with a small gift.  I haven't embossed for ages and felt the urge to break out my heat gun and embossing powder.  I added some gold wrapping paper to ground my deer, then a pop of red with the sticker sentiment. I also slightly distressed the edges of the card with a gold pen. The deer appears darker than the snowflakes, but they are the same color.  The stamp set is CTMH.  Everything is from my stash.

I'm making a last minute entry in the Little Tangles Challenge #26 - Color Challenge White & Gold. Tomorrow I may come back and enter another challenge or two, but this is it for tonight - it's past 10:30 pm!

It's Monday morning, and I'm editing my post to include these challenges:  Brown Sugar Challenge Blog #72 - Christmas; Simon Says Monday Challenge Blog - Use a Stamp; and Mema's Crafts - Winter or Christmas or Holiday.

613 Avenue Create-Anything Goes-CAS Option

Hi, there!  The option for this week's Anything Goes Challenge at 613 Avenue Create is my favorite style - CAS.  Our sponsor is Bugaboo - our winner will receive 7 images. Since for the life of me I don't seem to be able to create anything that isn't CAS, I really enjoyed seeing the CAS projects my teamies created.  These ladies are really versatile, believe me!

Last week's winners are posted - you may be one.  We want to see your project - remember, CAS is an option.  Happy Crafting!!

613 Avenue Create #49-Option: Create a Calendar

Can you believe Christmas is so close?  That means that 2014 is close also.  At 613 Avenue Create our current Anything Goes Challenge has the option to Create a Mini or Perpetual Calendar.  Our sponsor is A Day for Daisies. My teammates have really outdone themselves, creating some beautiful and detailed calendars.   I used the Berry Tree image.  My own creation, of course, is about as CAS as can be:

It's had to see, but I used Martha Stewart Glitter Glue for the berries.  I tried something quite new to me in coloring the image.  I used color pencils and Gamsol.  I dusted the around the tree with chalks to mimic the sky and ground.  The cardstock and DP are from my stash as are the border and flowers.  The calendar is computer generated. It was a rather fun project.  Now I have my own homemade calendar to put on the wall.  You should give it a try!  We'd love to see your 2014 calendar.

I'm entering these challenges:  Through the Craft Room Door-Anything Goes; Scrapping4funChallenges - Anything Goes; and Clear It Out Challenge Blog-Anything Goes for Theme and Stash.
