Today the sun is shining, and the snow is melting in Georgia - HIP, HIP, HOORAY!! I felt so good knowing that our extreme weather is over (at least for now) that I wanted to make a sunny card. After checking Virginia Lu's blog this morning, I realized that today is the last day for me to link up a paint chip card. Virginia's paint chip cards are wonderful, and she invited her friends/followers to make some. Of course, I procrastinated and waited until the last minute, but I got it done this morning. I used my new Simon Says Stamp hello die. I love that die and this is the first time I've used it. Here's my card:
The shades of yellow on the "hello" are so soft and pretty in real life. The orange flower is a punch from a friend. I added a sequin with Liquid Pearls in the center. At the top is orange baker's twine. Also, my clear stones cover up the bottom corners of the card, but I used my Corner Chomper to round them. My husband and I will send this to his sister.
Besides linking up to Virginia's blog, I'm entering these challenges: Southern Girls Challenge - It's All New!; Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes with Twine or String; Addicted to CAS #30 - New; and 4 Crafty Chicks #179 - Anything Goes.

613 Avenue Create #51-Anything Goes-No Twist
We know that everyone is probably caught up in last minute holiday preparations, so we've made our challenge this week a simple one - Anything Goes with no twist. So if you need to relieve a little holiday stress, craft anything you like and submit it. Our sponsors this week are the fabulous Rick St. Dennis and The Paper Shelter. One easy way to make quick last minute cards is to use a pre-colored digi, which is exactly what I did using The Paper Shelter's Christmas Candy Fairy:
The card stock and DP are from my stash. I used Nestabilites. For the bows, I covered white card stock with Washi tape and then used a Martha Stewart punch. The tiny sentiment is from SRM Stickers and was gifted to me by the fabulous Virginia Lu.
I'm entering these challenges: Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge #156 - Last Minute Cards or Any Not Shown Already; Digi Designs Challenge Blog - Anything Goes Christmas Challenge; and Crazy for CAS #34 - Anything Goes.

How I Stretch My Stamps at Virginia Lu's Blog
The talented Virginia Lu is sharing again - she's presenting free lessons on stretching your stamps. And there's a challenge - enter your project and you could win. This first lesson concerns using a partial image or part of a background stamp. Here's my card:
Supplies: Cardstock: Marco's Paper, Recollections; Ink: Versa Magic Purple Hydrangea; Stamps: CTMH Wicked and For Every Occasion; Pearls: Recollections.
I liked cutting off the width of my hexagon stamp. This allowed me to add pearls in the white spaces which might not have worked had I not used a partial image.Supplies: Cardstock: Marco's Paper, Recollections; Ink: Versa Magic Purple Hydrangea; Stamps: CTMH Wicked and For Every Occasion; Pearls: Recollections.

Yes, Virginia, I'm Inspired
I saw a fun challenge on Virginia Lu's blog. I admire Virginia's creativity and style and visit her blog quite often. Here's the inspiration for her challenge:

Virginia's challenge gave me a chance to use a newly purchased stamp set from CTMH - Joyful Jar. I have to learn to take better pictures, but, anyway, here's my card:
