613 Avenue Create #192-Anything Goes-Option Holiday Happiness

Hi, All. I haven't posted in a several weeks, but I'm here today with the December challenge at 613 Avenue Create.  We're Anything Goes with the option of Holiday Happiness.  Be sure to enter our final challenge of 2016.  And be on the lookout for changes in 2017. I'm using an image from Bugaboo. Here's my card:

Hot cocoa with marshmallows makes for a happy time, especially at Christmas, don't you think?  Our grandson has always loved hot chocolate so even though he's a teen now, this little teddy bear makes me think of him.

613 Avenue Create

Happy, Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates Easter!!  Today our challenge at 613 Avenue Create is Anything Goes with Flowers.  I used a Bugaboo image - Umbrella 3.  I had an entirely different idea in my head for this card, but it didn't work out at all.  Does that ever happen to you?  I do like how it turned out however. I wanted it to have handmade medallion flowers.  It took me forever to make some, and then I didn't care for them on the card. I tried other flowers, including ones you roll up and stamped flowers, but I didn't like any of them. Finally, I remembered these Martha Stewart flowers I got at T J Maxx this weekend.  Done!

I used my newly purchased Sizzix oval dies (thanks to a sale at Joann's).  I was tired of all my images being square or rectangular. Everything is popped up.  I lightly chalked the background of the image.  The sentiment and ink are Close to My Heart.

613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes #3

Hi!  At 613 Avenue Create we are announcing our winners of last week's challenge so pop on over to see if your name is there.  Our new challenge is posted - It's Time to Kraft. Just use kraft paper in your project.  We have some great DT inspiration.  My card uses Bugaboo's Sunbonnet Judge.  I have a friend in California who's a Superior Court judge, and this card is for her.  We've been friends for many years, having met in college.  We don't talk often, but when we do, we have a good time catching up on life and family.

Everything I used is from my stash.  My base is Kraft paper.  I used a CTMH sentiment. The sweet little judge is colored with Sharpies. I think she's so cute - I hope my friend likes her.
