Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #334 - Autumn

Fall is in the air and so we have the theme of Autumn at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.  I do love this time of year.  I've seen several deer over the last few weeks which is why I made this card. These majestic animals always make me smile.

Challenge #334-Autumn
Make a project using anything Autumn related. But there has to be a least one cut from the Cricut Library!

This Weeks Sponsor is-

And the prize is-

Three new Close to My Heart Stamp Sets!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

Getting back to my card, I created a Distress Ink background and then dusted the background with brown chalk before using a stitched rectangle die to cut out a panel.  I hand cut the grass mound and inked the edges.  I used my Close to My Heart Artbooking Cartridge to cut the deer and the leaves, distressing them with various inks to add depth and shadows.  I haven't added a sentiment yet, but I think it will be a birthday card for my brother-in-law.  It has a nice masculine feel, don't you think?

We hope to see your projects at FCCB.  And in the meantime, Happy Fall, Ya'll!!

Thanks for visiting!

  1. What a beautiful card Sheila! I love your deer that you used and I am loving your background. It isn't feeling fall like here, it is in the 90's with heat index of over 100. Today should be the last day of it though. lol You have been making some beautiful cards my friend! Hugs, Brenda
