613 Avenue Create #209 - Anything Goes - Twist Mainly Blue

Wow, it's May already!  Our Anything Goes Challenge at 613 Avenue Create this month has a color twist - Mostly Blue.  This challenge made me realize that blue is a color that I don't use a lot, so it was good for me.  I decided to see what blue inks I had and use them to ink up some NBUS flower stamps.  I am very pleased with this card:

I didn't actually add leaves for the flowers.  I used the small vines to fill in some of the white space between the flowers since I chose not to overlap them at all. I also decided not to stamp the centers. Instead I colored them with a light gray marker. I die cut the white panel, mounted it on blue card stock and added a label sentiment.

Card stock:  Recollections 60 lb and 110 lb
Stamps:  Altenew Whimsical Flowers and Label Love
Inks:  Memento Blue Danube,VersaMagic Turquoise Gem, Memento Bahama Blue, VersaMagic SeaBreeze, CTMH Topiary, Memento Black Tuxedo
Die:  Unknown (purchased at a garage sale)

  6. It is interesting when we get a challenge that sends us off on creative experimentation, doesn't it?! Your choice of not using the centers of the flowers, using the vines instead of the leaves and playing with the different blues you have in your collection must have been very satisfying to you. It certainly resulted in a lovely card Sheila!
