Today I'm posting the Easter card that I made for my husband. I struggled for a long time to come up with a card for him. But finally an idea came to me and here it is:
I used a punch to create the bird and the branches on which it sits. I punched from white card stock and colored the images with my Spectrum Noir markers. I added DP to the card front and stamped the sentiment. I used a corner rounder to finish it off. My husband doesn't look at my blog so it's ok for me to post it now.
Card stock: Recollections 110 lb.
DP: My stash
Punch: Stampin' Up
Spectrum Noir Markers: TB2, 3; LG4, 5; TN7, 8
Stamp: Sunny Studio A Good Egg

Easter Egg Bunny
Hello! I have all my Easter cards made with the exception of one for my husband. Today I'm posting the card we'll send to our grandson. He's a teen, so it's getting harder and harder to come up with cards for him, if you know what I mean. He doesn't look at my blog, so it's ok to post the card before it's mailed. And even if he did find out about the card, we all know he's more interested in what's inside than he's interested in the card itself - LOL! Here's what I made:
I think this bunny egg looks cool with his sun glasses - don't you? I created the background paper and cut it with a stitched die. The bunny egg was colored with Spectrum Noir markers after I stamped it and cut it out. I stamped, colored and fussy cut the glasses, but I had to resize the lens on the right side and cut off the ear pieces in order to fit the glasses to the bunny. The lens have a coating of Clear Wink of Stella. I added a sentiment on a hand cut banner and some washi tape.
I have to add that this is the first time I ever used my Concord and 9th Turnabout stamp to make a background and I LOVE IT!!
I'm really pleased with how this turned out. BTW, the egg stamp was a gift from my blog buddy Darnell when she gifted me with a box of stamps and dies she purged from her collection. Thanks again so much, Darnell!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog #322-Easter
It's Monday and time for another challenge at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. Easter is our theme. The DT has created some delightful projects. And we'd like to see yours, too. So please do join us for some Easter fun.
I made a small Easter basket, cutting the image at 2 inches as suggested in the handbook. Then I folded it along the score lines and used red line tape to put it together. The handle automatically cut twice, so I stamped a small flower atop the scallops, glued the two pieces together so the flowers showed on both sides, and attached it to the sides of the basket. I hand cut the small eggs and sentiment and glued them to the front. Since I don't have any Easter grass, I stuffed the basket with green tissue paper. I placed a bunny inside, but, of course, it's perfect for small candies of any type. It's so cute and was fun to make.
Card Stock: My stash (12 x 12 paper)
Cricut Cartridge: Close to My Heart Artiste
Stamps: Unknown - from my stash (I've had them for years)

Easter Cards for Church
Here are Easter cards which I made for my church ministry to give to our adopted seniors. I always enjoy making cards for our seniors. It always reminds me of how much my mom loved receiving cards.
I love the beautiful cross and the lovely cover die cut front. A simple sentiment and some sequins finished them. I hope our seniors like them.
Card stock: Recollections 60 lb. and 110 lb.
Die: Die-Versions Fence Background, Darice Crosses, Anna Griffin Oval
Stamps: Pretty Pink Posh
Ink: Close to My Heart Cotton Candy

Blossoms and Twofer Challenge
Hi, there! I've here with my entry into the fabulous Twofer Card Challenge. The theme is Blossoms this month. I tried to stretch my stamps by using a simple tulip image on one card and turning the tulip into an umbrella (think back to those bubble umbrellas years ago) for the second card. Now for some, this wouldn't have been much of a stretch, but I assure you that it was for me - LOL!
Spectrum Noir Marker: CT1
Stamps: Close to My Heart, retired
Here's my second card. I categorize it as an Encouragement card (edited) :
Card Stock: Recollections 60 lb. and 110 lb.
Ink: Close to My Heart Sweet Leaf & Topiary; VersaMagic Purple Hydrangea
Die: Tim Holtz

Here are my card details:
For this card, I used a stencil to create the rain drops. The clouds are snippets left over from another Cricut project. I stamped the tulip in orange and colored the middle yellow. I stamped the stem and leaves (the two parts of the flower are separate) in brown and then cut the handle from that image.

613 Avenue Create #207-Anything Goes-Optional Twist: Reuse/Upcycle
We have a fun twist at 613 Avenue Create this month - to Reuse/Upcycle something. It's always fun to re-purpose an item or two. I used a paper napkin from an event I attended to create a card front. (I tend to save pretty napkins. I have them in a drawer.) I've made cards with napkins in the past using a glue stick to glue down the napkin to card stock. My friends showed me how to use plastic wrap and an iron to adhere the napkin, but I never got around to actually doing that. Finally, a few months ago, a friend showed me how to use spray adhesive. So when this challenge came along, that's what I did.
Here's the card I made:
It's hard to tell in the picture, but the biggest flower is popped up along with a small purple flower below it. I glued down two panels of the napkin, and fussy cut two flowers from the second panel to pop up for a bit of dimension. I cut down the first panel, distressed the edges with ink, and adhered it to a card base onto which I had stamped a design, making my own DP. I die cut a sentiment, distressed that with ink, and added it. Done!
Here's the napkin I used (folded in half):
I must say that using the spray adhesive was a lot easier than the glue stick method. My friend said it's even easier than the heated plastic wrap method. Of course, you just need to spray in a box and have lots of ventilation. If I can do it, believe me, it's easy. And fun. It's a nice way to remember a special event or party. You can even send your host/hostess a thank you using a napkin from the event. People really get a kick out of that, believe me.
Card stock: Michael's 60 lb. and 110 lb.
