CAS Flower Card

This card is for a line dance friend who is recovering from a serious illness. I sponged Spun Sugar Distress ink onto water color paper and sprayed it with water to create the background.  The flower is a retired Close to My Heart stamp. I created the paper for the flower by smooshing 3 distress inks separately on a craft sheet. I sprayed each area with water, and using a paint brush, splashed each onto some water color paper to create a random pattern. After stamping the flower, I fussy cut it and glued it on the pink panel. I added a sentiment and some sequins. Voila!

I like the flower from my hand made designer paper. I stamped and fussy cut two other (different) flowers and saved them to use another time. I'm really liking distress inks. I recently added some mini ones to my collection and intend to use them soon. I want to work on my blending.

  9. Beautiful card Sheila! I love your background, so pretty. Distress inks are so fun to work with aren't they?! Love that flower too, looks great with your background. Sorry I've been MIA, just can't seem to get my act together. Thanks for your sweet comments on putting my furbaby down, it wasn't easy but something that I knew had to be down. Savannah misses Pockets so much, I feel so bad for her as she doesn't understand. Hugs, Brenda
