Distress Ink Halloween

I'm really early with a Halloween card this year. I am determined to get better blending distress inks so I decided to ink up a night sky for our grandson's Halloween card. Here it is:

The tree  is heat embossed in black and so is the bird. I created the sky with distress inks. They blended pretty smoothly. The background is a bit darker in real life. I splashed the background with water to create an erie look. I cut the panel down and matted it. I didn't think it needed a sentiment - it looks like Halloween, don't you think?

Card stock:  Recollections
Inks:  Versamark
Stamps:  Close to My Heart (retired) and Michael's
Embossing Powder:   Stampendous Detail Black
DP:  BoBunny Fright Delight Collection ( blog candy I won a couple of years ago on Virginia Lu's blog)

  5. I'd say you've done an excellent blending job, and looks like you have got good 'water droplets' technique too. I can't get that done well! Love the dark silhouette spooky tree on the night sky, and it looks so nice with the orange base. Good for you on early Halloween cards. I haven't done the 1st one! Always love seeing that fab header when I get time to hop over! TFS & Hugs
