I actually made my husband a Father's Day card a couple of weeks ago. That's unusual for me, I'm usually more last minutes, LOL! It's another golf themed card - golf is his passion. Here it is:
The golf image is from Impression Obsession. It's popped up on the DP, and I added the shadow with a Spectrum Noir marker to ground him. I used a friend's stamp for the sentiment, so I don't know who made it. The enamel dots are Theresa Collins.
But it's the DP that I want to tell you about - I made the plaid paper myself using Spectrum Noir markers and a technique I learned from Catherine Pooler here. I have a leftover piece of this pattern that I will use later. It was easy as pie to make, and I'm delighted with the result. I generally don't try different techniques, but this one was so clear cut and so easy I decided to give it a go. You can bet I'll be creating more plaids. Next time, maybe I'll create a plaid for a feminine card.
I'm entering these challenges: Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Father's Day/For a Guy; Paru's Card Making Challenges - June - Father's Day; Crafting with Friends #22 - Anything Goes; Crazy 4 Challenges - Make it Masculine.
Take it easy, my friends, and craft as much as you can!!
