Hello, Friends. Sadly, I needed sympathy cards for two brothers - friends of my husband since their teen years. Their mother passed away. They live in different states so I created and sent them the same card.
The lighthouse stamp is from Our Daily Bread (Light of the World). I used a Nestie to cut it out. It's stamped in CTMH Chocolate ink. I sponged the image and the CTMH sentiment with ink, but I'm not sure which ink I used. All card stock is from my stash.
I'm entering a few challenges: Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes; Word Art Wednesday #143- Anything Goes; Sister Act Challenge #68 - Anything Goes; Our Daily Bread - Sponging or Stencils; Mema's Craft - August - Anything Goes

DeleteThis is a lovely stamp and a good one for a sympathy card. The treatments you used really enhanced this image, and I liked the design on the background paper very much. Really pretty with the lighthouse image. The brown inking with the cool blue shades was a good choice of colors as well. TFS & Happy Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you have a need of sympathy cards, but this one is a beautiful one Sheila. I think they will bring comfort to those who lost their loved one. I love the lighthouse stamp and how you inked it up. The papers you used are such calming colors. I think Our Daily Bread has such beautiful stamps even though I don't own any. lol Hugs, Brenda

ReplyDeleteSheila, thanks for your visits & sweet comments. I color the images at night watching tv, when I'm in the mood to do so. Then I have to think how to die cut with something that will compliment the image. Of course after that, then think of how to transform it into a card! Hope all is well in your part of the South! Hugs
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for the brothers, Sheila, but I'm sure your cards will bring them a lot of comfort. I love how you've used the lighthouse which shines a symbol of faith and security in rough waters. Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sympathy card! It's always so hard to create them, but you really did a wonderful job. Love the lighthouse. Thanks for joining Mema's Crafts challenge.
