H, Everyone,
There's a new challenge at 613 Avenue Create - COLOR! This is our first color challenge, and we ask you to use brown, pink and cream or white. Our DT has some beautiful inspiration highlighting our sponsors Eureka and My Heart Pieces. I used Granny Time from My Heart Pieces:
All the items used are from my stash: Card stock, DP, ink and sentiment are Close to My Heart; small flower, fiskars punch; large flower, unknown.
As you can see, I didn't color the image. Instead I sponged Tea Dye and Antique Linen Distress Inks and CTMH Chocolate over the image for a dusty antique look. I love that sentiment, in this case, it speaks to a grandmother's special love. I'm entering challenges at Word Art Wednesday - Love/Anything Goes and Challenges for Everybody - Challenge #14 Anything Goes.
You'll want to see who won last week's challenge, so go take a look!
Sheila: This is absolutely precious! I can just picture the grandkids sitting on your lap hearing a story. I cannot WAIT for grandbabies. Thanks for sharing this super sweet card in our challenge this week. May God bless your week with health, happiness, and lots of fun!

Beautiful card and I love the sentiment. TFS!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! I love the nostalgic feel of it all. Nice, you choose not to color the image...it's a wonderful touch. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI love how you used the colored paper with the uncolored image! That adds some vintage feel to it somehow...love the added flowers also! That sentiment is so heart-warming!
