613 Avenue Create #183-Anything Goes-Option American Beauty-Use a Rose

Good day, crafty friends!  This week our challenge at 613 Avenue Create has the option to Use a Rose. It's Spring, and flowers are everywhere (so are allergies)!  Our sponsors are The Stamping Boutique, Melonheadz Illustrating and Eureka Stamps. I've used Eureka Stamps sentiment image Bouquet of Angels.

I needed a card for a friend who is undergoing a serious health issue. I thought the sentiment was perfect. This is a really simple card - no stamping at all. I didn't start out to create a no stamping card, but it ended up that way. Here it is:

I cut the rose from patterned paper that I had. I actually have very few flowers in my collection of stamps, and only one (I think) is a rose and it wasn't exactly what I wanted. So I grabbed the paper and fussy cut the rose - therefore, no stamping. I used a Spellbinder oval die for the sentiment, dusted it with pink chalk, and distressed the edge with pink ink.  The decorative oval is cut with an Spellbinders Floral Oval die.  I added some rhinestones and done!

Sentiment:  Eureka Stamps Bouquet of Angels
Paper:  White card base (Recollections 110 lb card stock), pink (snippet from my stash)
Rose:  GCD Studios Melody Ross Collection - Homespun Chic
Accessories: Rhinestones (Simon Says Stamps), sponge, CTMH Cotton Candy ink

    1. Thanks, Brenda. But I guess I wasn't clear about the rose. It was printed on the paper - I just fussy cut it. You gave me too much credit - LOL!! Have a great day, my friend!!

  6. It's very beautiful Sheila, and your fussy cut rose blends so nicely with this awesome S/B oval...one of my favorites of all the S/B ovals. Like the sponging in the center of the oval, and your friend will appreciate it & your thoughts & prayers. I believe in angels very much. Really loving the new blog header. TFS & Stay cool. Expect it's just as hot where you are, as 'tis here. Hugs
