Hi, friends! First, let me say Happy Mother's Day to all mothers. I hope you have a blessed day.
This week's challenge at 613 Avenue Create has the twist of Create Your Own Challenge using this chart:
Here's my card using Sassy Studio's Holiday Wreath:
I'm slowly but surely getting some holiday cards made - yea for me!! Here's the formula I used: Column 1: Image & Sentiment; Column 2: Die Cut; Column 3: Stickles; Column 4: Sequins; Column 5: Twine.
I colored the image using colored pencils and baby oil (a substitute for Gamsol - read about it on the internet). I cut out the image using an oval Nesties. I added Christmas Red Stickles for the berries, and paper pieced the ribbon. The die is popped up on the DP. I then added Baker's Twine and sequins after stamping the small sentiment inside the wreath.
I'm entering these challenges: Challenges 4 Everybody #41 - Anything Goes; The Glory of Christmas Challenge #33 - Anything Goes; and Crafty Hazel Nut's Christmas Challenge #176 - Let it Shine.
We want to see your creativity at 613 Avenue Create - be sure to stop by!

ReplyDeleteWhat a cute Christmas card Sheila! I love the paper pieced ribbon and your coloring with the oil is fabulous! Yay for you getting some Christmas cards made ahead of time. I so need to do this too, but haven't so far. lol Hugs
ReplyDeleteHey Sheila - nicely done! I especially like the paper pieced ribbon [that is some fussy cutting!] and the bling and baker's twine running at an angle. Very creative!

Good for you in getting on the Christmas card bandwagon. You scored a home run with this one. Love the image and fantastic work on paper piecing that pretty ribbon. Bet that was tedious too. The stickles made great berries too. TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteYou know, I keep telling myself that I better get into the Christmas spirit earlier this year... your card is helping me with that : ) Can't wait to see what you do next week!
