I'm happy to say that I'm joining Darnell's NUBUS Challenge #12 . These are always such fun. I won't explain the challenge here. If you've never participated before, click over and read all about it. In essence, Darnell is encouraging us crafters to use what we buy. I used two stamp sets that I've had several years.
I never had a pink princess phone. But I sure thought it would be fun to have one when I was a teen. Maybe some of you know what I mean - LOL!
I stamped the background and cut down the panel to fit an A2 card base. After stamping and coloring the phone, I fussy cut it and popped it up on the card base. I did the same with the sentiment. I added a shadow beneath the phone to ground the image. Three sequins finished it off.

Fanatabulous Cricut Challenge Blog #310 - Fall
Hello, friends! Fall is the theme for our new challenge at FCCB. I love seeing the leaves change colors. It's hard to believe, but Halloween and Thanksgiving are just around the corner.
To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images. If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!
I made a birthday card for my brother-in-law for my project. I think it's appropriately masculine with a definite sense of the season. I sure hope he likes it.
I created the background paper using a rubber stamp. I cut the tag from white card stock using a Cricut cartridge. The acorn was cut out as a part of the tag. I sponged inks on the tag. I colored the acorn using Spectrum Noir markers and set the pieces back into the negative spaces. I cut the twig from the same cartridge and colored it with markers. I used green paper, punched out the leaves, and distressed the edges with ink to add dimension. I glued everything down and stamped the sentiment. So now my card is ready to be mailed!
Card Stock: Recollections 60 lb and 100 lb
Inks: Distress Wild Honey and Spiced Marmelade; Close to My Heart Chocolate
Spectrum Noirs: TN3, 4, 8, 9;
Punch: E K Success
Stamps: Stampin' Up Hardwood (background); unknown sentiment stamp
Cricut Cartridge: Close to My Heart Art Philosophy

In terms of Back to School, I remember those days well - being so happy that my sons were back in school after a long summer vacation - LOL! I decided to use the Book Stack image from our sponsor Bugaboo. It made a cute card, I think:
I used some DP from my stash as a background for the book stack. I colored the books with Spectrum Noir markers and then fussy cut it. I cut the apple and the sentiment from my Close to My Heart Artbooking cartridge. I colored the apple with my SNs, added some clear Wink of Stella, and placed it atop the stack. I think the apple added a cute pop to the books. The sentiment is from Artbooking also.

613 Avenue Create September Challenge - Twist: Distress
Well, Summer is approaching its end. Fall is definitely approaching. I love this time of the year when the leaves turn so many beautiful colors. So for our September challenge at 613 Avenue Create, I made a card with a wheat leaf and fall colors. I used distress inks per the optional twist. It was quick and easy. So quick and easy that I actually made two cards, something I don't do a lot. I will show the other at another time.
The background is actually darker in real life than in this picture. After cutting out the leaf with that beautiful die, I sponged on three colors of distress inks and coated it with clear Wink of Stella. I also sponged the background of the top folding card with distress ink. Then I glued down the leaf and stamped the sentiment. Finally, I used a Spectrum Noir marker and added the dots to give my card a bit of texture.
Die: Elizabeth Crafts Leafy Branch 6 Wheat
Card stock: Recollections 110 lb
Distress inks: Ripe Persimmon; Evergreen Bough, Tea Dye
Spectrum Noir marker: GB6
Sentiment Stamp: Anna Griffin
Sentiment Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
