Today we have a new challenge at the <a href="https://www.threeroomstudio.com/blogs/news" target="_blank">Three Room Studio Blog</a> - Use a Punch or a Die. For this challenge, I went old school and brought out a Fiskars Edge Punch - remember those? I never purged my punches so I have quite a few in my stash. They are fun to play with once in a while. Here's my card:</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEj7o1kGHEOF0A2vUj13yORuzPOrg1yVot7BaSanvVyiKH8crh8qw0Ri4FlQHpUev4tfX2eNojuGXibvX0-sS02v6bDoNxoxUR2-t6fW3KxcFdQOjqH7ItAjq6ERQV1gS1kvjkicyBfSlbqC94dIs8AEwR03D3ax7jz9SxP8wTVwrWW3FPaiE4zFLAhdAw=s600" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="600" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEj7o1kGHEOF0A2vUj13yORuzPOrg1yVot7BaSanvVyiKH8crh8qw0Ri4FlQHpUev4tfX2eNojuGXibvX0-sS02v6bDoNxoxUR2-t6fW3KxcFdQOjqH7ItAjq6ERQV1gS1kvjkicyBfSlbqC94dIs8AEwR03D3ax7jz9SxP8wTVwrWW3FPaiE4zFLAhdAw=w400-h400" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;"><!--[if gte mso 9]><xml>

This week we are celebrating Black History Month at <a href="https://www.threeroomstudio.com/blogs/news" target="_blank">Three Room Studio</a>. This month is meant to be a specific time to recognize and celebrate achievements by African Americans and the important roles we have played in the history of this country, roles which have often been ignored or hidden, even to this day.<div><br /></div><div> Here's my card:<div> </div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEggnhWwKb3kLs7uS-yfOM19yC4FdolEF31hXLJa6AsqQrr7tadAdytO_RQ4MgfTnCUsY3xzXPVqBlmF43PHROdkzijEHe_5lErigoJXiYMWrsgAosbF0_CPot3i7Ix1eTgjCYo6s-YVYEOI6RK32stAAPtOTX6lrLCIeYasNgBRRi8wvNFzrj8pD6HaLg=s640" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="548" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEggnhWwKb3kLs7uS-yfOM19yC4FdolEF31hXLJa6AsqQrr7tadAdytO_RQ4MgfTnCUsY3xzXPVqBlmF43PHROdkzijEHe_5lErigoJXiYMWrsgAosbF0_CPot3i7Ix1eTgjCYo6s-YVYEOI6RK32stAAPtOTX6lrLCIeYasNgBRRi8wvNFzrj8pD6HaLg=w341-h400" width="341" /></a></div><br /></div><div> I used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color a heart with the colors of the Pan-African flag - also known as the Afro-American flag. This flag was designed by Marcus Garvey. To represent Black people, I colored and fussy cut the hands from the Hello Friend stamp set. I adhered the hands to the heart. I used brown ink to distress a panel of textured card stock from my stash, gluing the panel to a kraft card base. I tucked a sentiment slightly behind the bottom of the heart and finally added some enamel dots.</div><div><br /></div><div>Please take some time to read up on the contributions African Americans have made to this country. I would dare say that you will discover some amazing facts.</div><div>

Today I have another masculine Valentine again using the Hero Arts Argyle Background Stamp. This time I cut hearts from the paper stamped with the argyle pattern. I made a mini slimline. Here it is:</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEi6Fkvfw19gD0d4W5EyOTuxnO1IXdSXX0ltnxho4VZv_eL6_bDq4j0fTMeG-FLH3WuyVWuZKVcYuMLoXdXT5lS-yewYEmcl6ih5a8McKw8_xmzl7LC6Y8Kn3hqff1J9yHLySc2G3d5vxoVAcv4BVjtlenhLI9Rls1JGCSBuq1rABIDwZGZqVlEwM8RVEA=s640" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="540" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEi6Fkvfw19gD0d4W5EyOTuxnO1IXdSXX0ltnxho4VZv_eL6_bDq4j0fTMeG-FLH3WuyVWuZKVcYuMLoXdXT5lS-yewYEmcl6ih5a8McKw8_xmzl7LC6Y8Kn3hqff1J9yHLySc2G3d5vxoVAcv4BVjtlenhLI9Rls1JGCSBuq1rABIDwZGZqVlEwM8RVEA=w338-h400" width="338" /></a></div><br /><p>This is for our grandson. I sure hope he likes it. I enjoyed making it for him. I stamped the background using Hero Arts Pool Ink on blue card stock. I cut the various hearts using I've had for years and years. The front panel was cut using Kat Scrappiness Mini Slim Line Double Stitched Dies and added to my card base after I used a diamond embossing folder from my stash to create a pattern on the navy card stock. The sentiment is from Kat Scrappiness also - the Quokka Valentine set. It's heat embossed with white embossing powder.</p><p>Thanks for visiting!</p><p>

I always need quite a few masculine Valentines and they can be hard to make. I used the Love die from the Hero Arts August 2021 MMH kit, cutting each letter 3 times so I could stack them before adhering them to the argyle panel. The "you" is from the stamp set in the kit and it's embossed and then cut out and glued to the panel. I added some hearts from my stash before adhering the panel to my card base. Finally, I used a Wink of Stella pen to add sparkle to the hearts and the Love sentiment.</span></div><div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">

Here's my card:</span><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiBvfEqTp1Aqm98xarN4-16ALsYtIBAmWx1wVdqJKIQOY7AK3uLnpHGyovBjDZvWLaCx61BiG9egxS3ipN6l-_IePoCroDPUtgBu-X921KFrdVUg6CuDLAJxeLCDVEI95l5Wqdlg9RAgMOzDKD4JcPeohmnjnlkW-FzcHq7Axc0Zdkm7Y_iFbl8WrV2Aw=s640" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="516" data-original-width="640" height="258" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiBvfEqTp1Aqm98xarN4-16ALsYtIBAmWx1wVdqJKIQOY7AK3uLnpHGyovBjDZvWLaCx61BiG9egxS3ipN6l-_IePoCroDPUtgBu-X921KFrdVUg6CuDLAJxeLCDVEI95l5Wqdlg9RAgMOzDKD4JcPeohmnjnlkW-FzcHq7Axc0Zdkm7Y_iFbl8WrV2Aw=s320" width="320" /></a></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div> I used the Welcome Winter set, masking the small trees and stamping them in green ink on a 2-1/2" x 2-3/4" white card stock panel. Then I lightly chalked the area around the trees. I cut a slightly larger white panel and colored the edges with a green Spectrum Noir Marker to match the trees. </span></div><div><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"> Next I cut some white patterned paper from my stash at 5" x 3-3/4" and adhered it to an A2 size card with a horizontal orientation so the fold was at the top. I adhered the tree panel to the green edged panel, and placed them atop the white patterned panel. Finally, I glued them all to the card base and stamped the sentiment.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">Clink the links below to see what my fellow DT members have created:</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"> <span style="text-align: center;"><b>Kim Skinner</b> - <a data-lynx-mode="asynclazy" data-lynx-uri="https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fstampingimperfection.com%2F%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR3atiw1M12PoRZ1IDVfs8uib_vXP_Db829-ggESuT1s1bcOFZfQv6cv0sU&h=AT3YLs54pHyhvzKYfKFyjTWovids0lYCEAe0f7su3soHIRQZMttmB1_TEfIhXyXlik7X0w-nePw6A_c0zXQMCdmEYwgGBnUGeCI9t0F6wJSt4_5ckVIH5h66j8ZghUi1KkA" href="http://stampingimperfection.com/?fbclid=IwAR3atiw1M12PoRZ1IDVfs8uib_vXP_Db829-ggESuT1s1bcOFZfQv6cv0sU" rel="noopener nofollow" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; color: #2196f3; text-decoration-line: none;" target="_blank"><span class="_4yxr">http://stampingimperfection.com</span></a><span class="_4yxr"> OR <a href="https://www.instagram.com/stamping_imperfection/?hl=en" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; color: #2196f3; text-decoration-line: none;" target="_blank">@stamping_imperfection</a></span></span><span style="text-align: center;"> </span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="background-color: white; color: #757575; font-family: Roboto, sans-serif;"><b>Allison Cope</b> - <a href="http://yourmemoriescanada.blogspot.com/" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; color: #2196f3; text-decoration-line: none;">http://yourmemoriescanada.blogspot.com/</a> OR <a href="https://www.instagram.com/i_card_so_hard/?hl=en" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; color: #2196f3; text-decoration-line: none;" target="_blank">@i_card_so_hard</a><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></div><div style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #757575; font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Susan Powell - </span><span style="background-color: transparent;"><span style="color: #757575; font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-size: medium;"><a href="https://creatingwithsusan.blogspot.com">https://creatingwithsusan.blogspot.com</a>/</span></span><span style="color: #757575; font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-size: large;"> OR <a href="https://www.instagram.com/creatingwithsusan/" target="_blank">@creatingwithsusan</a> </span></div><div><span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Click over to the blog to see our challenge rules. Today I'm showcasing a Valentine card I made with Kat Scrappiness products. I think this is really darling. It was a lot of fun to make. <div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgoMw6TretZl3ORJlS2AetZOppcmdWli7YlRx1ObALJZAT2mkcUX9viHPV4HBlrxaGDKAn7ROULkWwVYA9vjcFV7hw57rJXSTKehiwRLctUJ7kf6-srU6wGNXMBwwUutQV45fe3eoKCDOQRb5SNjzs5v1BXJq92CkXC1PIyMGsZUTh_GocWnQT76mDocw=s640" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="550" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgoMw6TretZl3ORJlS2AetZOppcmdWli7YlRx1ObALJZAT2mkcUX9viHPV4HBlrxaGDKAn7ROULkWwVYA9vjcFV7hw57rJXSTKehiwRLctUJ7kf6-srU6wGNXMBwwUutQV45fe3eoKCDOQRb5SNjzs5v1BXJq92CkXC1PIyMGsZUTh_GocWnQT76mDocw=w344-h400" width="344" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>The background panel is one I created using my gel press. Then I used the Stitched Hearts Coverplate Die on that panel. I also used the Layered Tulip Bouquet die, cutting it out twice using two different shades of green card stock. I cut two sets of tiny hearts using both pink and red paper. The bow was cut from gold mirror paper. I offset both the leaves and stems before gluing them togethr. I also offset the hearts with the pink behind the red, each set of two offset slightly differently that the one next to it. Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment from the KS Valentine Quokka stamp set and added bling from my stash.</div><div><div><br /></div><div><div>Thanks for visiting!</div><div>

I adhered it to a patterned paper scrap from my stash. Then I adhered that to a black panel to provide a small black border. I applied Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink through a stencil to a kraft card base to which I attached the image panel. Finally I added a sentiment from my stash.<div><br /></div><div>This card was fun to make. It's time for the <b>Three Room Studio Saturday Challenge</b>. This week's challenge is Winter. <div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiV05RpdczDiets4zPocZxqGavx4OKrFeZuf3GcAU1wDHYjiVUcokKjrGje-GWS2I6yGjohM4S8xq5v6Cb3BK_xzaGkO8-mVOkQrnjHozUb4CGAyVkzM-wsNid1M-3P9vjz_aADM2dcdaQ4el4vOLZ6f7xe_CO1hp6b92lPsOzim-8WqxmNmf9_CEt0Jg=s427" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="427" data-original-width="400" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiV05RpdczDiets4zPocZxqGavx4OKrFeZuf3GcAU1wDHYjiVUcokKjrGje-GWS2I6yGjohM4S8xq5v6Cb3BK_xzaGkO8-mVOkQrnjHozUb4CGAyVkzM-wsNid1M-3P9vjz_aADM2dcdaQ4el4vOLZ6f7xe_CO1hp6b92lPsOzim-8WqxmNmf9_CEt0Jg=w375-h400" width="375" /></a></div><br /><div><div>I used the Mitten digital stamp. I totally challenged myself by learning how to flip the image so that I had a pair of mittens rather than just a single one. I colored the mittens using my Spectrum Noir markers and then embossed them to give them the appearance of being knitted. I love that texture. I used a background cover die for the pattern on the card panel. Then I sponged Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide onto the center of the panel. After adhering the mittens to the panel, I added some bling and a sentiment from the Welcome Winter stamp set. </div><div><br /></div><div>You will want to check out my fellow designers' projects for this challenge: </div><div><br /></div><div> Marilyn @onestampingfool</div><div> Susan @creatingwithsusan</div><div> Kim @stamping_imperfection</div><div><br /></div><div>We'd love to see your card for the challenge. This one came together quickly. I blended Distress Oxides for the background - Warm Lipstick, Blueprint Sketch and Wilted Violet with a touch of Black Soot around the edges. I colored the images with my Spectrum Noir Markers and used a white gel pen for the snow. Then I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment using Detail White Embossing Powder from my stash. Finally, I added a ribbon. So cute and such fun!<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEj-E4eL5eE1CY1U9NIESehmQK9hB0RbCZSBwfZ4orfgD8w5H90w7PK_A6Br87WWmnVb0Am7_yVmKAXkUTBjizUaIjqYjY6cvgnlRXe_Bbg6AS-eIPR4KojF8QL4r8md4yUesXy6GOeTEibbovDm-q76VTEerXPvq8Si7y5C8i3sIHOBgo32xqA1gz5g3Q=s1252" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1252" data-original-width="1027" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEj-E4eL5eE1CY1U9NIESehmQK9hB0RbCZSBwfZ4orfgD8w5H90w7PK_A6Br87WWmnVb0Am7_yVmKAXkUTBjizUaIjqYjY6cvgnlRXe_Bbg6AS-eIPR4KojF8QL4r8md4yUesXy6GOeTEibbovDm-q76VTEerXPvq8Si7y5C8i3sIHOBgo32xqA1gz5g3Q=w328-h400" width="328" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div><div>You still have a bit of time to order and receive this adorable set from the store if you hurry. I'm back with a card using products available at Kat Scrappiness. I made this wreath using Kat's Merry Critters set, which in addition to these cute critters and sentiment, has two other critters, a sled filled with presents, and four other sentiments. I colored the images with my Spectrum Noir markers and cut them out with my ScanNCut. I cut the wreath using two circles from the Never Ending Circle Die Set and embossed the background using Sunny Studio's Cable Knit 6x6 Embossing Folder. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik5xnl6BcIWUADoUFnvppytL3EFsmNFIVcq2k7BntWzcCej_tf4tkidpbLxqNXJ1X56ge7bfJmOirmwL5eZ0_Pu9-8rkA0SfiCv49T1jV3g4n0I6gDAzW2prFKeLuvO_5W65bpAuGAhdbc/s2048/merrycrittersks%2528p%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1971" data-original-width="2048" height="385" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik5xnl6BcIWUADoUFnvppytL3EFsmNFIVcq2k7BntWzcCej_tf4tkidpbLxqNXJ1X56ge7bfJmOirmwL5eZ0_Pu9-8rkA0SfiCv49T1jV3g4n0I6gDAzW2prFKeLuvO_5W65bpAuGAhdbc/w400-h385/merrycrittersks%2528p%2529.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>This cute little card was a lot of fun to make. I'm delighted to share my very first post as an Influencer for Kat Scrappiness. The KS shop has lots of delightful images, amazing dies and assorted embellishments among other items. I used the cute little quokkas on a Christmas card. These adorable animals live in Australia, but I have taken artistic license by placing them on a snow mound.<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiH1khni1hicuG3aWy4tP4UX8VeISlJOjmFNN479C-IUVEvpWPVXj0kQeU3WF-oIQ2w3ukGu4CDVwCJ2OunWrRz-Sqq0_gooUMaKuvnqtnH3cokPAzu-0hO8_eNMME1ULrPvcWerAFBjdDC/s1414/quokkahappyholidays.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1414" data-original-width="1229" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiH1khni1hicuG3aWy4tP4UX8VeISlJOjmFNN479C-IUVEvpWPVXj0kQeU3WF-oIQ2w3ukGu4CDVwCJ2OunWrRz-Sqq0_gooUMaKuvnqtnH3cokPAzu-0hO8_eNMME1ULrPvcWerAFBjdDC/w346-h400/quokkahappyholidays.jpg" width="346" /></a></div><div><br /></div>The background is created with the Stitched Winter Swirl Backdrop Die. The sentiment is the Happy Holidays Brush Script Word & Sentiment Die. I colored the quokkas with my Spectrum Noir markers. I hand cute the snow mound and embossed it with clear embossing powder. Finally I added clear gems. All products are from the Kat Scrappiness store.<br /><div><br />

We are proud to have <a href="https://www.joyclair.com/" target="_blank">Joy Clair Design</a>s as our sponsor at <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/2879667398954326/?hoisted_section_header_type=recently_seen&multi_permalinks=3001399610114437" target="_blank">Passionate Paper Creations & Friends</a> on Facebook. The spotlight from the star is a technique I learned from Jennifer McGuire in the Holiday Card Workshop 2021. I colored the snowman with my Spectrum Noir markers and placed him atop a snow bank which I die cut and to which I added clear embossing powder so it sparkled. I added snow using a white gel pen. The snowman and the sentiment are from the digital set Snowy Greetings.<br />

Lawn Fawn is our sponsor over at <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/2879667398954326" target="_blank">Passionate Paper Creations & Friends</a> on Facebook. I love birch trees. So I am delighted to create this fun scene using the trees and a few critters from the set. Here's my card:<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWowLdPWbLxpdUnYnr4EhEdDembbll4apDtteQXC2d7Xri4PhQ30KKemNeF08PlZf6QU55mz73UOc1lcxE7YvtbfR-TJvvio30ferpPSMt7vxdexP24C5EnE0cWe7uomY0gExlcoKXyeHM/s640/joytothewoods%2528p%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="572" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWowLdPWbLxpdUnYnr4EhEdDembbll4apDtteQXC2d7Xri4PhQ30KKemNeF08PlZf6QU55mz73UOc1lcxE7YvtbfR-TJvvio30ferpPSMt7vxdexP24C5EnE0cWe7uomY0gExlcoKXyeHM/w358-h400/joytothewoods%2528p%2529.jpg" width="358" /></a></div><br /><div><div>I created the background using Distress Oxides Inks: Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry and Carved Pumpkin. I sprayed the background using a mixture of Perfect Pearls and water. I cut the snowy ground from white card stock using a scalloped die. I then smooshed Versamark Watermark Ink onto the paper and sprinkled on clear embossing powder which I heat set to create a shine. I colored all the images with my Spectrum Noir markers and then used my ScanNCut2 to cut them out. Today I'm posting some cards I made and presented to my church ministry for distribution to residents at a nearby assisted living facility. I could not visit the facility as some other ministry members did so I volunteered to make the cards. I was told that they were well received which made me very happy. I made the cards using a variety of patterned papers, precut card bases and ephemera. They were quick and easy and completely CAS.<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyWYKh8OJ-VwQ5G2U9Zyo1vj9yneN4wQX0I2w97Xo05pCxqwAu0YCWtWFc4sxR8gZrBs7BuNRQsGgeEaCXkIZTbWsr_Tz105BwrH7NU8B_OitfEdafyVZpogfJ-fyldMF9EWG7R3JLMJNE/s640/churchcards1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="504" data-original-width="640" height="252" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyWYKh8OJ-VwQ5G2U9Zyo1vj9yneN4wQX0I2w97Xo05pCxqwAu0YCWtWFc4sxR8gZrBs7BuNRQsGgeEaCXkIZTbWsr_Tz105BwrH7NU8B_OitfEdafyVZpogfJ-fyldMF9EWG7R3JLMJNE/s320/churchcards1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrcb2ASdk_65arMtJB_fxryIqB-q_B1wnR-3FtiBgeq_QkLrnokHvXfGwAEgUUHUMwPQhmYEjJBt8L8DthjkaxjjroAK6Q12XEazZU3RalHLdd2x5kNGHq_UV2kbs8c4B3704doWlRsXLV/s640/churchcards2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="640" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrcb2ASdk_65arMtJB_fxryIqB-q_B1wnR-3FtiBgeq_QkLrnokHvXfGwAEgUUHUMwPQhmYEjJBt8L8DthjkaxjjroAK6Q12XEazZU3RalHLdd2x5kNGHq_UV2kbs8c4B3704doWlRsXLV/s320/churchcards2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div><br /><div> It brings me a lot of joy to make cards for senior citizens living in assisted living facilities or nursing homes. Today I'm so very pleased to be showcasing Hero Arts Make A Wish Exclusive stamp set in collaboration with Simon Says Stamp. This set is packed with small images and sentiments which make perfect birthday cards. I challenged myself to make multiple cards of different designs using this set. Here they are:<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZMitSnOI-tQCRyyfNrBSDItKmG99Hp4WjquG8BNyrxArPXBK-lhI-MSfW406PdEYd1fD_m_Dv5jdobzFvbEi65UXFyBO_5WTAPPO29_v56kSj1C1lAx9-EmbkYbYCGZ6rZVZyyt0zcWV6/s640/stamptember.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="631" data-original-width="640" height="395" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZMitSnOI-tQCRyyfNrBSDItKmG99Hp4WjquG8BNyrxArPXBK-lhI-MSfW406PdEYd1fD_m_Dv5jdobzFvbEi65UXFyBO_5WTAPPO29_v56kSj1C1lAx9-EmbkYbYCGZ6rZVZyyt0zcWV6/w400-h395/stamptember.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div>Aren't they fun? I'm posting a Christmas card I made for a challenge with some friends. We have weekly challenges on our private Facebook group. I made this card using a combination of Lawn Fawn and Recollection stamps.<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIomsNbAGKzcPyZLxw2VEAiOGutR16GOcvDtvjufyQmOeiMrFUMS6lR-SiA_lm9A0Wdvx9MtKpFHmtCQwZPWamNB01E886Xn575krQTkrLD5i-5niwhqLccw3nDSp69iRuXEZC9xUPits-/s640/christmasinjuly1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="640" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIomsNbAGKzcPyZLxw2VEAiOGutR16GOcvDtvjufyQmOeiMrFUMS6lR-SiA_lm9A0Wdvx9MtKpFHmtCQwZPWamNB01E886Xn575krQTkrLD5i-5niwhqLccw3nDSp69iRuXEZC9xUPits-/w400-h400/christmasinjuly1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The background is Distress Oxide Stormy Sky. I colored the images with my Spectrum Noir Markers. The house and snow bank are accented with Stickles and sparkle pen. At least I've gotten started on my Christmas card stash for this year!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div>

Here's a birthday card I created using Hero Arts Heart Hands from last month's card kit:</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhG9CIo19TJ8NR99yOb4DVtbFFOsKg7IFjc1i0EdrESzvfvWSkmylTKt_V7bImtigCIzJ0QwqLHFDOWi8xwC0KQQGzQQUwsOBgeKr72HN-xE0Ptm0wNHsxwCikyeg1bOjQoxsDHLibwE6ni/s640/hearthandsbd%2528p%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="584" data-original-width="640" height="365" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhG9CIo19TJ8NR99yOb4DVtbFFOsKg7IFjc1i0EdrESzvfvWSkmylTKt_V7bImtigCIzJ0QwqLHFDOWi8xwC0KQQGzQQUwsOBgeKr72HN-xE0Ptm0wNHsxwCikyeg1bOjQoxsDHLibwE6ni/w400-h365/hearthandsbd%2528p%2529.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p>I used Distress Oxide Inks to create the background. I used the Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Bubble Layering Stencil to create the texture. The sentiment is from my stash - not sure of the maker. Finally, I added some shading to the hands. I love how it turned out.</p><p>

Today I'm sharing the Lovely Lotus set from Gina K. This flower is so beautiful. I've shown it floating on a body of water, a peaceful and serene scene. <div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQAiLqsb4VrLRRUWPMaFa7AlN12xC9O0rBmFnP_NNYQ-rYFZFsCii3BObyiMcBrhcOmNaJ0cJdUv4nXPMRgcshQV_n1gHxLrnSsmZlDNkaf9nEWQN5o0wINhdLkNvJql32Bl8hsxWtTqva/s704/lotus%2528p%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="704" data-original-width="600" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQAiLqsb4VrLRRUWPMaFa7AlN12xC9O0rBmFnP_NNYQ-rYFZFsCii3BObyiMcBrhcOmNaJ0cJdUv4nXPMRgcshQV_n1gHxLrnSsmZlDNkaf9nEWQN5o0wINhdLkNvJql32Bl8hsxWtTqva/w341-h400/lotus%2528p%2529.jpg" width="341" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div><div>I created the clouds using a stencil and Distress Oxide Ink. The water and sentiment are from a Stampin' Up set - Lilypad Lake. I also colored the water with Distress Oxide Ink and then spritzed it with plain water. I colored the lotus with Spectrum Noir Markers. Finally I drew the birds with a fine point marker to add a little something to the scene.<br />

I actually purchased my very first kit from a craft company. I bought the August My Monthly Hero Kit as I just fell in love with it. I also purchased one add on item - the Better Together stamp set. Here is the card I made:<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9mPTCXpihafSAhuN0eQ61Cc6PgxBcz77KBEt8rODRDG5N6VL_T_zr_e4gXk7AVavHpxnTRBz8MZPp4eAYXgxb2_TXUKmsEiFdz980Rh4iL-5B88qMpFuqCJAnlqLkYMZeOPGZt-w3iNss/s640/bettertogether2%2528p%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="640" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9mPTCXpihafSAhuN0eQ61Cc6PgxBcz77KBEt8rODRDG5N6VL_T_zr_e4gXk7AVavHpxnTRBz8MZPp4eAYXgxb2_TXUKmsEiFdz980Rh4iL-5B88qMpFuqCJAnlqLkYMZeOPGZt-w3iNss/s320/bettertogether2%2528p%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbAM3OdTCkqZ__2XPIvVgZ0I7AsBHcbsQMImSelgi1cheP12k6eUJV4zkP2976g3zQzwWiWuuOiTKJ8HfOTfUFVR5QyVD6RUbudcZ4qcur4dt7Vp5y3WWFkQawZzHFfVOZw_CVUUSpejIR/s600/bettertogether%2528p%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="600" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbAM3OdTCkqZ__2XPIvVgZ0I7AsBHcbsQMImSelgi1cheP12k6eUJV4zkP2976g3zQzwWiWuuOiTKJ8HfOTfUFVR5QyVD6RUbudcZ4qcur4dt7Vp5y3WWFkQawZzHFfVOZw_CVUUSpejIR/s320/bettertogether%2528p%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div>I ink blended Distress Oxides to create the background and then sprayed it with shimmer spray. The USA die is by Tim Holtz for Sizzix. I cut the stamp image with my ScanNCut after coloring it with Spectrum Noir Markers. The sentiment is from the Hero Arts Power to the People set. I just love how it turned out.</div><div><br /></div><div>Have you ever purchased any monthly card kits? Let me know, please.<br />
