Happy Birthday Shoe

This is my second post for today.  It's hard for me to believe I'm actually posting again-LOL!!  This is a birthday card I made for my niece.  I used a high heel shoe die that I borrowed from a friend so I don't know the name of the die, but it's truly gorgeous. My niece, as most young women do, favors, HIGH heels. I used metallic red paper for the shoe. The Recollections cardstock base is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder which I've never used before. I then dusted the card surface with dark pink chalk so it wouldn't be stark white (it's actually hard to see in the photo).  I added a neutral oval die cut behind the shoe and some snippets of a swirl die which I cut in white and colored with a Spectrum Noir marker. The sentiment is Close to My Heart. The sequins are from my stash. I think my niece will like the card - I know she'll love the shoe!!

I'm entering these challenges:  Just Us Girls #325 - Use Metals/Metallics; A Gem of a Challenge #160 - Female Birthday; and Brown Sugar #180 - Anything Goes.

Thanks so much for stopping by - have a great week!

  2. What a beautiful shoe die Sheila, very fancy indeed. I would have loved a pair of shoes like that when I was younger too, but not anymore. lol I need comfort now. But I bet your niece will love this card and shoes like that. It made for such a beautiful card. Hugs, Brenda
