Holtz It Right There

The twist on our Anything Goes Challenge at Jackson's Digital Expressions is to use Tim Holtz products in your project.  I decided to distress the background of my card.  I balled up the cardstock, then smoothed it out.  I swiped the cardstock with two distress inks:  Fired Brick and Tea Dye.  Then I sprayed the paper with water and dried it.  It reminds me of dye tied fabric.  My Robert Jackson image is A Lil Prayer.  She's so sweet.  I love her little curler cap.  It's hard to see in the photo, but she has 2 pink rollers in her hair!

Be sure to go to the challenge site to see what the rest of the design team created.  The projects are wonderful.  Be sure to join in - we have some great prizes, including a chance to be a Guest Designer.  I'm entering my card in challenges at Make It Monday (anything goes), Tammy's Scrapin Corner, (anything goes), and Crafty Cardmakers (distress it).

Supplies:  Inks: Fired Brick Distress, Tea Dye Distress, CTMH Chocolate; Recollections cardstock; Stamp: CTMH TLC; Coloring: Copic E35, Bick Mark-Its, Sharpies, Watercolor Pencils, Blending Pen; Flowers, my stash; water mister, pop dots.

It's the Weekend!

I hope you're enjoying this Memorial Day Weekend!  I'm displaying another birthday card.  This one is for a friend of mine - my first crafting buddy.  I met this sweet lady at a scrapbooking class which I decided to take to find out how to scrap.  That's when I found out scrapbooking and card making (can) go hand in hand.  She and I have been friends ever since.  We've since taken workshops together many times.  She makes beautiful cards and sends me one on my birthday every year.  We also exchange handmade Christmas cards.

Supplies:  Cardstock:  K&Company, my stash; Inks: Memento Grape Jelly, CTMH Black; Cricut Lite Bloom Cart; Ribbon & Bling, my stash; Stamps: Blessed, Birthday Script, Chart Chatter, Birthday (all CTMH); Fiskars Corner Punch/Embosser; Sharpie; Pop Dots.

Altered Art Challenge at Jackson's Digital Expressions

It's that time again - another great challenge at Jackson's Digital Expressions.  Get ready to Find Something and Alter It!!  The twist is that it should not be a card or a flat item.  But remember, anything goes, so if you don't have anything to alter, just do whatever you like.  Check out the Design Team's inspiration - they are great!

Girl Birthday Cards

Here are a couple of birthday cards I made for two of the girls in my family.  They happen to share the same birthday which, I guess, is why I didn't take separate pictures of the cards.

I used the same Close to My Heart stamp set for both the cake and the cupcakes.  Since my photography skills are not the best, it's a bit hard to see that the one on the right has cupcakes on a plate while the one on the left has a cake on a plate. One has a stamped sentiment and the other a Cricut sentiment.  Both have a bit of bling.  Clean and Simple birthday wishes.

JDE Anything Goes - Color Challenge

Today is the start of  the Jackson's Digital Expression's Color Challenge:  Peach, Yellow and Dark Brown.  I made another CAS card.

This is Robert's Dance and Praise III image.  It makes me feel church, if you know what I mean!

Here's what I used on my card:  Water Color Pencils, Bick Mark-Its, Sharpies, Blending Pen, CTMH Chocolate Ink, Martha Stewart Ribbon; Sentiment: Stampabilities; Paper:  CTMH White Daisy, my stash.
